Sarah Steyaert (FRA) wins Womens Laser Radials. Controversy played a major part in here win as the World Championship leader, Xu Lijia (CHN) had the series in the bag after the ninth and penultimate race, but she was penalised by the on the water judges for pumping.

Light winds have again caused a delay in racing in the 2008 Womens Laser Radial Worlds. However the latest information is that the fleet has been called out onto the race course, with a 6kt south westerly blowing, and a start looks likely for 1100hhrs.

Light winds have put all racing on hold at Takapuna for the third day of the Womens Laser Radial World Championships.
The second fleet got underway with a sensation as USA sailor Paige Railey was penalised for a RRS42 infringement, as she tried to clear the leeward start boat.

A good breeze is blowing for the second day of the Womens Laser Radial Worlds. Overnight a good SW breeze has been blowing, after shifting and unstable winds caused all racing to be abandoned yesterday.

Racing was scheduled to get underway today at 1100hrs in the Womens Laser Radial World Championship.
The scheduled start has been postponed due to shifting winds, the breeze is fluctuating between 6-8kts and looks like it will swing from the south to the east.

Day 4: Tornado Worlds - a win for Bundy By

Racing has finished on Day 4 of the 2008 Tornado Worlds off Takapuna.
A light 8kt sea breeze prevailed from 015 for the first race of the day.
The breeze settled for the second at around 10kts but much steadier and with reasonable pressure across the course.
